Gulp. Okay, this is for real.

I pretty much thought we were waiting to TTC til next month....but DH is anxious and he's tired of me trying to plan it around my stupid concerts and other stuff related to the school year. And he's right! So we're starting this month!

Suddenly I am SO freaked out about it! This is freaking FOR REAL now!!

I just had to get that out there. Did anyone else feel like this right at the moment you were going to start?

I freaked out when DH told me he wanted to start TTC... Even though I've been ready for a while now, it was a smack into reality when he said he wanted to... No worries, I think it's a natural feeling, considering that the "outcome" of the fun is a HUGE but worthwhile responsibility...

I don't know how anyone could NOT be the tiniest bit freaked out!!

When DH told me he wanted to start trying shortly after we were married, I thought he was crazy...but then I too thought "why not!" but I have to admit, I did have moments of "OMG we are going to do this?!!?". And when it happened literally RIGHT away there was no going back, lol!

But it's exciting and wonderful and the best thing that will ever happen to you! Good luck!!!! It will be great

I definitely did. And when I started imagining symptoms our first month trying, it was even more scary. But knowing that we are ready in as many ways possible--financially, emotionally, etc., and that DH is totally on board and just as if not more excited than me has made this so much easier.

And honestly, a couple months of BFNs when I really wanted to be PG made me realize that there is nothing else I want. The first month I felt scared and unsure, and then seeing that I wasnt PG made me so sad...

DH and I talked about it for a while before we were ready to start but when that time came I was so scared! Now it's much better (we're on our 4th month trying).

it was so strange to think that I was going to take that step! It sounds funny but it was such a "grown up" decision. know what I mean?

I know exactly how you feel. This is our first month trying. I'm due for AF on Thursday. I'm not going to test until then because I'm not sure if I want to see BFN or BFP if that makes sense.

I have absolutely zero symptoms and I really don't think that this is our month. Most of the past few days, I've felt really disappointed and upset and a few times, I feel a little relieved.

A child is a wonderful, but huge responsibility for basically the rest of your life, so its perfectly normal to feel a little apprehensive.

I know how you feel as well...Even though we aren't officially starting until Nov I have been prepping lots of things in my body/life getting ready to begin and I'm already super nervous. Its funny because I have been ready for quite some time, DH is the one who needed some more time, and now that he is ready I'm so nervous.. I can't believe it but I've been up several nights this week (this is the week that we officially picked a month to start trying) with my mind racing with all of these things I need to do/consider... I'm a natural worrier so I know this is normal for me, but I had no idea that I would be this filled with emotion when I was just beginning ttc

Well first of all, congrats on starting!!!

I know how you feel though. I've been wanting to start ttc for some time now, but DH wasn't ready. Now all of a sudden he's very ready and I'm starting to freak out a bit. It's just a HUGE responsibility and a change that's almost too big to even comprehend. It's a really big decision to make! That's kind of the reason that we're not going to actively "try" for the first few months -- I think if it just happens, it'll be easier for us to comprehend knowing that it was meant to happen. Plus, I'm sure once we get a few BFNs thrown in the mix it'll make us want it even more and we wont feel as nervous about the whole thing.

This is our first month TTC too and I've felt nervous, excited, overwhelmed...you name it!

I even had butterflies today when I went to buy an OPK!

A little bit in the begining, but I was excited to start too.

You'll be a great mom, and as every woman here can tell you, there is NO planning on when to have a child!!

I am so exicted for you and I will tell you this.. I am an 8th grade english teacher and tried to "plan' around my state exam and all that jazz... take a guess as to when I am due???

Yep ...7 days before the test...couldnt be worse timing, but ya know what? Life goes on and they will figure it out! I am still a little stressed about it, but Ill do what I can and that's all I can do!!!

I was calm when we decided, then we actually BD for the first time with a purpose, and all I thought the whole time was "geez, we could be making a baby right now!" that whole day I was sooo freaked.

It's natural.

We TOTALLY felt the same way!!! If you think TTC feels surreal just wait until you are actually pregnant. We only have 4 weeks left and I still can't believe this is happening!! You will have so many emotions but trust me, it's ALL awesome!!!! I hope, hope, hope that you get lucky on the first go around!!!!! (And I better be the first one to know.......you know, I did help after all giving you my CBEFM!!! ) Keep me posted. Oh by the way................Michelle just found out that she's having TWINS!!!!!!!!
