Not sure if you shop in Trader Joes, but the usually have a guac kit you can buy - it comes with the tomato, the jalapeno, the garlic and the avocado and a lime.
However, while it's great to have all those key ingredients, I like to jazz mine up with chopped cilantro and red onion and cayenne pepper.

All of the above, but in my recipe, tomato is NOT optional! I love tomato in guacamole, I do not use jalepeno or sour cream.

I use the Dos Caminos recipe.
Dos Caminos Guacamole
Time 10 minutesServes 4Ingredients
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Tbs fine chopped cilantro leaves
2 tsp fine chopped white onion
2 tsp minced jalapeno chile pepper
1/2 tsp Kosher salt
2 large Hass Avocados,peeled and seeded
2 Tbs. cored,seeded and finely chopped plum tomato(1 small tomato)
2 tsp fresh squeed lime juice
How to make it
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a medium size bowl,use back of spoon to mash 1 Tbs. cilantro,1 tsp. onion,1 tsp minced chile,and 1/2 tsp salt together against the bottom of bowl.
Add the avocados and gently mash them with a fork till chunky smooth. Fold in remaining cilantro,onion,and chile into the mixture. Stir in tomatoes and lime juice,taste to adjust seasoning and serve with a basket of warm corn tortilla chips.
