Growing pains?
These are real things right? My almost 7 year old has been getting pains in his legs. Is this a growth spurt? How long does the pain last? I am a hypochondriac when it comes to my kids (not myself) & can't help wonder if it's something more serious.

Re: Growing pains?
Yes, it's real. My son gets them often and he's growing like a weed! My sister and husband both had them growing up and said they are very painful.

Re: Growing pains?
Yes my older ds would get them all of the time. I had him eat more bananas for potassium to help alleviate getting them.

Growing pains?
Totally real. I remember asking the dr about them for my ds. I would rub his legs in the middle of the night. One of my younger sons now gets them-he is 3. I have a massage roller stick that I bought for myself -I use it on him and it helps.

Re: Growing pains?
My 3YO gets them a lot (or he's just trying to use sleep deprivation as a form of torture for us ) I was a little worried but the doctor said if the pain is not always in the same place, it's almost for sure just growing pains. If it's always in one spot, then you might want to just have it checked out.

Re: Growing pains?
Thanks all! I will try to give him more potassium rich foods. He complained for a week or so but nothing in the past 2 days.
