Gross people at work

Figured the boards could use some activity!

So there is a woman who doesn't work for my company, but another one in the same building. We all use the same ladies room on this floor.

I think I may have posted about her before but she stands at the sink after using the bathroom and scrubs her arms up to her elbows like she is scrubbing in for surgery. This goes on for quite a while.

I didn't know this, but apparently she goes to each sink in the row- there are about 5 sinks- and uses each one for a minute or so every time she washes her hands.
And in the process, splashes water everywhere. So many times I have leaned up against the sink and gotten my dress soaked. It literally looks like an elephant took a bath in the sinks in there... water everywhere!

And now yesterday one of my co workers told me they saw her blow her nose- INTO the sink. Like stand there- no tissues- and hock a snot loogie from her nose INTO THE SINK. In front of people no less.

I am so grossed out I want to use the bathroom downstairs from now on.

Anyone else work with gross people?
I swear it makes me want to work from home every day some of the stuff that goes on around here!

Just yesterday, I go into the kitchen around 3pm and this woman is literally gutting a fish on the kitchen counter. No plate, just slicing up some silver fish (think snapper) on the counter and sprinkling it with lemon. I gagged and walked out.

Yeah I work at a swanky Park Avenue law firm... and there was a turd on the floor in the ladies room last week. This is NOT THE FIRST TIME either! And these are women!! Ugh. How does this happen?! Why does this happen?!

we share bathrooms with a whole bunch of offices...

Once there was blood on the floor...

Another time there was liquefied crap all over the back of the toilet and splattered on to the wall. I kid you not. It was like a bank bomb. How does that happen???

And if they are going #2 there is never a courtesy flush... So you have to smell their brew.


One time there was someone vomiting.

People also don't flush... Out of 6 stalls you might have 3 that are ehhhh.

I use the bathroom once a day and hold it until I get home.

I have seen blood one the floor and the walls as well.
It's like when changing a tampon they whip it out and swing it around or something!

At my old job we had a turd on the floor once too.

And you are all right- HOW does that even happen? are you shitting from across the stall???

Luckily our toilets auto flush so we aren't affected by the non flushers at least.

OMG.

I was literally laughing out loud at that. Thank God my office mate is in the conference room right now. I have a thing about bathroom humor- always have. I am like a 12 year old when it comes to stuff like this- I find it to be the funniest thing ever.

No, I have never seen this. I have to now though.

We had the floor shitter too. Ok. I don’t know HOW it happened .. but pick it the fck up you animal!!!

We also had someone who used to get such heavy periods and never knew when it was coming. She’d bleed all through her seat (they were material) and then leave a trail of blood to ladies room and LEAVE IT THERE. Wrap a jacket around her waist and stay til the end of the day. I wanted to die. It happened VERY often.

Ummm ya and to leave it all there in the bathroom, not clean up after yourself.... that person has more problems than her heavy period. If that happened to me id see a doctor, wear a pad preventatively, and of course have a change of clothes at my desk at all times!

Every week there is a person clipping their fingernails at their desk and a woman who in the bathroom is painting her fingernails - while the latter isn’t gross exactly it stinks up the bathroom, and she’s in their for like 20m and in the way. Like MOVE, sorry I have to reach over you to get to the paper towels, am I disturbing you?

I used to work in a hospital and the staff bathroom, which was exclusively used by hospital employees, constantly had boogers wiped on the wall next to the toilet. Toilet paper and paper towels were readily available, so I'm not sure why a grown adult (especially one that works in healthcare) would feel the need to pick their nose and wipe it on the wall. Barf.

My dh works in construction and he tells me how gross men can be! He said some people are too lazy to walk down a couple flights of stairs so they pee in water bottles and leave them. This happens often too!

This is off topic but does have to do with the work bathroom...old office had a bathroom used by several offices. I was back from maternity leave and pumping. My office door was glass so I couldn't pump in there and would go in to the bathroom and use a stall to pump. After I pumped one day, I walk back into the office and the receptionist proceeds to tell me that someone masturbating in the women's room with a loud vibrator. I almost peed myself laughing because she thought my pump was a big dildo!

Thank heavens we have auto flush toilets, although sometimes the button should be pushed for a second flush.
I can't stand the women who floss their teeth in the ladies room, then leave all the crap on the mirrors.
Some of these women are obsessive about oral hygiene.

I complained to HR endlessly about the nail clippers in the office, until they finally spoke to the offenders and made it part of the welcoming message to the newcomers about personal hygiene.
I work for the American division of a foreign company.
It is perfectly acceptable to shave and clip your fingernails at your desk, but impolite to blow your nose in public.
Go figure.
