Greenpoint BK
Does anyone live in Greenpoint, Brooklyn? DH and I have been looking at some of the new condos that are being built and were wondering what others thought of the neighborhood. I've lived in Williamsburg & Caroll Gardens before but I'm really a Queens girl at heart.

Shauns dads shop is in Greenpoint on Humboldt...
and my mom grew up in Greenpoint on Hausman St...
My gma lived there till like 15 years ago... so i havent been there in a really really long time... Shaun says its still mostly Polish in the area...
but its a good location as far as getting to the city... not far at all

i actually love it there. we go there all the time. but i dont know if i'd feel differently if i was living there, kwim?

I grew up in Greenpoint BK and I loved it. My father and most of my family still lives there. My Aunt owns a building and I wished she would have given an apartment to us when were first married..but that never worked out.
I love the area more now of course b/c it has changed from when I was younger. It's so close to the city it's ridiculous. You're near the G train and the L train. It's a nice, beautiful neighborhood now and I prefer it more than where I live now. I hate being so far from NYC (and I'm in Wantagh).

This is true... very polish area.
And yes!! it's so convenient to get around the city from here.
