Great Wolf Lodge
Thinking about taking my girls in December. Never been. Can someone share the good and bad. Is it worth the drive and money? How are the water rides? My girls are 7, 5 and 1.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
Your 7 & 5 year old will love it. As long as you are expecting to hold your 1 yo most of the time, it's definitely a fun experience.
Obviously the 1 year old can't go on a lot of the water rides, but she can splash around in the small water pools and sprinklers. We went when my DD was 1 and my DH went on most water slides with my son (4.5 at the time).
We had my 1 yr old in the stroller for bowling, mini golf and the arcade.
I will warn you, the chlorine smell is really strong. And the wave pool could knock a little one over very easily, so keep a close watch on them.
And the rooms come with a mini fridge and a microwave. You can bring your own food if you want. I saw one family bringing in a crock pot!

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
We've been there twice and the kids love it! There are a lot of pools and water slides, etc. Also, there is an arcarde, duck pin bowling alley and lots of activities for the kids. Food is okay but at least reasonably priced. It's only about 2 hours away.
First time we went my daughter was barely 2 and son was 3. Went again this year and my daughter was 4 and son was 5. They had a total blast.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
We love it there! We went recently with my 15 month old and 3.5 year olds that had a great time!!!
I can see them loving it when they are tall enough to ride more of the slides. Dh and I took turns and went on some bigs slides by ourselves
I think for the $$ it's totally worth it!

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
just happened to see this post, I think they were recently flooded out or a major part of the property/rooms were by big storm. From what I remember of the news report, but were in the process of making repairs

Your 7 and 5 year olds will have a blast, your 1 year old is just going along for the ride. 1 is a big range....13 months old, or 23 months old will decide on how much fun the child will have, and what they can do.

We went in July with our 3 year old and we all had a lot of fun. She was able to go on some of the bigger slides too. She loved the bowling alley and the kid spa too.
