Great Wolf Lodge?
My husband and I are considering taking our three year old. We've never been there and want to be sure we wouldn't be wasting our money on a trip she wouldn't enjoy. Please let me know if this is a good idea and if so, what packages/activities should we include in our trip? Thank you in advance!

Re: Great Wolf Lodge?
I can't speak for the $$ part of it as we had free day passes (sil does a lot of conferences there) but we took our 2 year old twins to the one in nc yesterday. They loved it! We spent about 4 or 5 hours there and they didn't want to leave (we had other plans). Had we had a room I could def see spending overnight there. I don't know about any other activities but they had a kiddie area with slides, ride on toys and squirters. They also lived the wave pool. Like I said though I can't comment in the $$ aspect.

Great Wolf Lodge?
I think it's great for a 3 year old. The food in the restaurants is terrible, so I wouldn't opt for a package that includes any food. We usually just book a room without any inclusions (other than the waterpark since that is included). If you think you might stuff an animal, play arcade games, etc. the Paw Pass might be a good deal.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge?
We are going next weekend with our 3.5 yo and 1.5yo. I think both boys will have a blast. They both love water play and slides. Think it will be the perfect weekend getaway.
I did read the food is bad so we will prob try to eat minimal meals there. They have pizza hut express so we will prob eat there once.

We have gone there for the past 4 years and really love it there. We get the breakfast package because it is cheaper to book than to go up and get breakfast there. The food is ok - some days it is better than other days. They changed the pizza hut and now they have a walk up window with different meal options (including pizza).

Re: Great Wolf Lodge?
I have been looking into planning a trip there and have heard mostly positive reviews except for one....My friend just returned on Thursday and she said it was cold....the pool was chilly and the air in the pool area as well. She said she and the kids were so cold the trip was not enjoyable. Not anywhere near the 85 degrees they claim.
Has anyone else been cold there? I don't want to spend the $$ to freeze.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge?
Thanks for the feedback!
I didn't mention it before because I didn't think it really mattered, but we also have a 2 month old we would be bringing and the cold part wouldn't be good for her. Hopefully it's not like that all the time!

Re: Great Wolf Lodge?
We were just there in November and yes it was noticeably colder there this time than in years past. I actually said something to them. They replied that they were running on generator power (it was right after Sandy). So I figured that was the cause of the cold.

We went around Halloween and we were sweating in there!! Must have been a fluke incident.
We also went back in April, and again it was hot in there. My niece who was just 3 months old at the time was perfectly warm in her stroller.
