I went to HS with his nephews. He came to our HS as part of the G.Squad to speak a few times. Such a nice guy.
Undergraduate - we had Former Secretary of State Madeline Albright. She is one smart woman. Her speech was well done (not suprisingly).

It was amazing. I know some people who went there (Penn Class of 2004) thought it was too preachy, but I honestly thought it was inspiring and it really put it to the students to go out and make the world a better place. I wish I had 1/10th of that in my graduation speech.
Plus he's a rock star..there's no denying it. It was SO cool to see him and hear him speak

For some reason, our college graduation speaker gives a speech on a different day.  Janet Reno was the speaker, but I didn't see her speak. I was busy spending time with my family.
The speaker at SIL's graduation last year was Anderson Cooper. He was hysterical.
Several years ago, they televised Al Franken's speech at Harvard's graduation. DH and I loved watching it. He's incredibly funny.

he was at my sisters graduation May 2005, I think, from Molloy.
I graduated Hofstra in Dec 200. I think I had the new president. My friends in May graduation had Chuck Schumer.

Undergrad from Marist...Mr Rogers...for me this was like a dream come true...I watched his show with my mom when I was young. At graduation he played "It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood" OMG I was in tears...it was like life came full circle.
Grad School from CW Post...Then Att General Elliot Spitzer...I liked seeing him
I graduated from Marist too and I'm so jealous that you had MR. Rogers! I ADORED him and still admire him . We had Gabe Pressman who was a TERRIBLE speaker and even mentioned the wrong mascot in his speech...instead of FOXES I think he said WOLVES or something!

Undergrad - Tom Wolfe - he sounded drunk
Grad - Christiane Amanpour and Ray Kelly - it was the first graduation after 9/11 and right in Washington Square Park so it was very emotional and powerful. Also, Neil Diamond performed. We had a sunny day and it was awesome, definitely worth attending.

It was awesome - truly a memorable experience!

My sister had him at her Fordham graduation (04) and although it was hot as h*ll, he was very witty. Great speaker.
