Graco Metrolite Strollers - recall
FYI.....
I went to return my metrolite stroller to babies r us because it was cracked when I opened the box. There are no more on the shelves. When I inquired about it they said there has been a recall. Apparently the lead standards on the strollers have changed and the metrolite did not meet the new standards. She said they are not recalling ones that are already bought but that they recalled the strollers on the shelves.
The Quattro is okay so I got that instead---what's another 10-12 pounds to carry

Okay someone on the phone right now is checking on this...
He thinks they didn't pull the Sterling pattern... Maybe this is a new model?

Okay he told me that they still have tons of the metrolite strollers.
The travel system was recalled.
I hope this is true!

I just went on their website and they have 3 Metrolite stollers, but only one travel system- Utopia.

OH NO!!! Ours just arrived last week from the ILs....what the heck do I do?!?!
We got Sterling....and it's not a travel system per se....my mom & I went to BRU yesterday and I even showed her my stroller!

I think that one is fine. That's the one I called about and Graco hasn't pulled it off the the shelves. It sounds like it was just the travel systems. And it also sounds like it wasn't a defect recall. They just couldn't sell the ones on the shelves because of new saftey regs that came out. So I "think" the Sterling is fine. I  it is!
