Re: Good Sam - C -section
i had one, not much to tell....the surgerys quick, reovery can be annoying, you're in a room for a while alone, then you go to your room. the nurses were really nice, visitors are no problem. what do u want to know?

Thanks. How many days were you in the hospital? Were you out of it during the surgery? Did you bf?

Re: Good Sam - C -section
I had an emergency c-section at Good Sam in August 2010. I was there for 4 days. I got lucky and got my own room. I had a ton of visitors during and not during visiting hours, the nurses didn't say a word. I had DS with me the entire time except in the morning for an hour or 2 when the dr came to check them out, then DS was brought back to me. I EBF. The nurses sucked when it came to that. All told me different things and advice, contridicting, telling me I was starving my baby but on the day before I left the lactation consultant came around and it turned out I was doing everything right, made me feel a lot better. I was hard EBF after having the c-section. It was nice having DH there with me to hand me DS when he was hungry because it took awhile getting out of bed because I was so sore. Also, they had me on some serious pain meds that although safe for DS, they made me really tired and I would often fall asleep mid sentence or with DS in my arms and it scared me to death. I also had an epidural while in labor then a spinal before the c-section. I could barely keep my eyes open when DS was born, DH was crying and excited and all I could think about was sleeping... I passed out seconds after he was born. They woke me up in recovery to ask if I wanted to EBF but all I could say was no and fell asleep again. I really regret that. Didn't see DS for a few hours later but luckily he latched just fine, no nipple confusion.
I am trying for a vbac this time around. If it works, great if not then it's not meant to be and things will workout.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Re: Good Sam - C -section
I am in good Sam now and had a csection. You are not totally out of it. The entire section was quick and then you go to recovery for a bit while they get your baby cleaned up the it's down to your room. I will be here for 4 days
