Good salads on the North Shore in Suffolk
anyone know of anywhere that has really good salads (take-out) anywhere near Port Jeff, Mt. Sinai, Miller Place, etc.? I'm always sooo craving a nice yummy salad, but haven't found anywhere good

Have you gone to Zorba's in port jeff station on 112? I love their greek salad.
I also go to Pro-portion cafe (one in Stony Brook on 347 and there is one on middle country road in Selden). I love their salads as well.

Proportions in Stony Brook. MMMM, I love their salads, mainly because of there sinless dressings.

I have not been to Zorba's, but I do love Greek salad...thank you! The only decent salad I've found so far is at The Pie in Port Jefferson...delicious salad!
And I have heard of Pro-portion cafe but never been and forgot all about it. WIll have to try them too, thank you!!

You're welcome! That's about the only two places I ever get take out salad from.
Just a warning the food at Zorba's is not that fantastic but I do really like the salad.
And like Kerry said the dressings are sinless but so delicious!! And the salads they give you there are HUGE!

Is Pro-portion behind the Hess gas station? I've heard good things, but never been. DH loves Sexy Salad in Hauppauge.
