I just bought a ticket for tonight. DH has plans and I figured what the heck..hope I dont chicken out!

Yes! I've also gone out to dinner alone, traveled to foreign countries alone, etc.

I love doing it. I am not going to to talk in the move anyway.

My husband does it for superhero movie all the time.He has gotten in the habit of going to Alamo when I am on a business trip to watch a movie I am not interested in, and eat dinner at the same time.

I never understood being afraid to go somewhere alone.

What do you think is happening? People are looking at you and thinking "Oh yeah, SHE is alone?"

They aren't :)

Have YOU every looked at a person and think "wow, they are alone!!".

Go have a good time. Don't let anything stand in your way of enjoying something.

Don't let yourself be influenced by other people. EVEN if they think that way...SO WHAT?????????? You don't know them, will never see them again....

...and again, no one is looking at you by yourself and thinking something. They just aren't.

Oh my God I absolutely love being alone… lol. I have zero issues even going to a cafe alone and eating and having a coffee. Alone time is so nice!

I did it once and it was actually really nice. But I went during the day. I've been thinking of doing it again soon.

I've gone to the diner by myself on multiple occasions. It's actually pretty great.

Never thought twice about it. Just do it. I have heard others talk about it like it's different, scary, new or exciting and I really just don't understand.

I mean going with friends places is awesome too but sometimes just having time alone to do things and just be alone by yourself is just well... awesome

I guess I'm the strange one? I don't even look at my phone. I have even *shock* been without my phone for a whole day and gone out alone to watch a movie, eat and shop. I get funny looks when I say don't have a coupon - "Get one on your phone" Oh, I don't have my phone, left it at home "OMG, are you ok?" um yeah? why wouldn't I be?.

It's fun to watch people. You 'see' stuff. Cute couples (old and young). Families and other single people. You hear conversations and watch interactions.

I love being alone. It's so entertaining!

ok thank you all for the pep talk! I just am used to being with my DH or family, bff..just never alone so I am going to do it!
I really want to see Manchester by the Sea so why not right?!

Its true, I dont look at people alone and think omg so sad, I think wow good for them.

It sounds so silly but this is a big step for me

I have a few times. Usually durnig the day when a movie I really want to see comes out. I have taken half day at work and went to see the movie alone.

Movies I see as no big deal you don't talk to anyone anyway.

Dinner I havent done and don't know if I ever will. I guess I rather just pick up food and eat at home.

Going to the movies isn't one of my favorite activities in general, but yes, I have gone alone and would go alone again. I've gone out to eat by myself too.

If people think I am weird, I literally do not care lol.

I do it fairly regularly Doesn't bother me at all. Was going to see Manchester by myself but at the last minute DH agreed to go with me. (He was sorry he did lol).

I have. I was pregnant and DH really had no desire to see It's Complicated so I went by myself.

I figured soon I would have very limited time to be alone so why not.

But then again I have no problem doing things by myself. Maybe it's an only child thing!
