Going to the gyn after you have been trying for a while...
Hi ladies! I'm new to this board but I have been lurking for a while. DH and I have been trying for 7 cycles and no luck yet. I am going to see my gyn on friday and bring this up to him.
I already have a list of when I got my period since January that I was planning on giving to him. I started using OPKs the last two cycles so I have a list of when I got a positive also.
I was wondering what to expect from him, i.e., what questions will he ask, what he do etc.

I'm not sure either, this is month #8 after my mc, so come 10/5 i'll be making one too if we don't get a +

Don't get your hopes down... with 7 cycles, you are still in the "normal" arena.
I went straight to a RE after almost a year (11 mos). I was using OPKs from day one. We were really trying. I also had lists... it's helpful to know exactly how long each part of your cycle is.
We set our appt up so that it was on CD3 so that they could do bloodwork (FSH). They also did an trans-vaginal ultrasound.
It was a nice, long visit...so we laid out a month-to month plan for about half a year.

Thanks for the responses. I know that 7 months is still "normal" as frustrating as that is. I am just going to the gyn for a regular appointment and I need to get another pre-natal script, but I want to mention what we have been doing and see what he recommends. He might just say wait a little longer i guess.

Honestly... IMO, if you are young... I'd wait.
The next step is a major pain and expensive (even with insurance due to all the co-pays).
Give it your best shot!

Thanks. I am turning 30 in a couple of months, so according to my doctor I'm ok. Hopefully will get pregnant before the 12th cycle
