Re: Going shopping soon...are snowpants

Unless, you walk alot or take public transportation with DC then I don't think they are necessary. We used it twice for Nate at that age, the two times we let him play in the snow.

If you find a coat you love that doesn't have pants then I don't think it's the end of the world. But if one you like comes with it then it's a bonus.

Re: Going shopping soon...are snowpants

I'm not getting her snowpants. I think a coat/jacket will be enough. The only time I can think of that I would use them is if she were to play in the snow and I don't think that's happening this year.

Boy, do I miss the Bundle Me! And the infant carrier.

Re: Going shopping soon...are snowpants

DD is 16 months and I just bought her snow pants - - I wont put them on her every day (so the issues about the car seat that you guys are talking about above wont matter) - - I thought she may like to play in the snow a bit so I got them. (12.99 at Target!)

Chat Icon Chat Icon Ava is still being squeezed into the infant carrier when DH picks her up and she DOESN'T fit.Chat Icon . At this point we are waiting one more month until we can put in her new seat facing forward.Chat Icon

I am going to get a pair of snowpants that go with the jacket I got from Target only because they are only another $12.99.

Chat Icon I am in NC and plan on getting them. In the mornings, we go out once it hits 40 degrees in the winter. If I am putting a jacket on him, I figure his legs need something too...Chat Icon

UUUGH! DH made me return them after the car seat guy told him they were unsafe. Try stuffing 2 preemies into gigantic snowsuits then into infant carriers. Chat Icon

I HATE anything other than coats b/c of that - I think I am scarred. However, I think I'll get them in case we do have snow. I want to go sleigh riding now that they are actually old enough this winter to enjoy the snow! Chat Icon

I just use winter jackets for my boys but I buy snowpants to only use while playing in the snow.
