Godparents quandry....
I have one sister and we are not close, infact we really haven't spoken in over five years. I have a closish group of friends (all femaile)
My DH has not one single Catholic friend, they are all Jewish.
We are stuck! I am thinking of asking my sister, but does that make me a hypocrite? I have one male cousin who I could ask, but then we still have another baby!
This is just way too complicated!

I am there with you. My sister and I aren't close even though I think she may expect to be name godmother? I'm not sure. DH is not close with his brothers and our married friends, well, I just don't know if I would feel comfortable asking them. I have lost alot of sleep over this.

Re: Godparents quandry....
We are both the youngest of 6 kids with a pretty big age gap.
We decided to ask our closest friends -- we thought, who is always there for us when we need them? That was our answer - and their boys are being confirmed this year so we know they are being good Catholics lately, lol!
I would pick someone you KNOW is always there for you - friend, family whoever...

Re: Godparents quandry....
Does your church stipulate that both godparents need to be catholic. I know someone who is Jewish that is a catholic godparent. I guess it depends on the church.
I feel for you since we are in the same situation.

Re: Godparents quandry....
My cousin chose two godmothers (I am one of them) instead of a Godmother and Godfather for her daughter...Just an option
