I chose the Acadia over the Highlander due to trunk space. When the third row is up, the Acadia had way more space than the Highlander.

GMC Acadia vs Toyota Highlander
I have a very old Highlander (bought it brand new) and it hasn't given me any trouble - only regular maintenance. My neighbor had an Acadia and couldn't wait to get rid of it - nothing but problems.

I have had my Acadia for almost 5 years now and have had no issues with it at all. I love it for many reasons.

This is true. I have the Acadia and my parents have the Highlander. I have much more trunk space when my third row is up.

I've had my Acadia over a year & love it. No issues; handles well on snow; I felt it had limited cargo space (but that is coming from a mini van); but w/ the 3rd row down it is huge.

I think you will get a better deal from GMC than Toyota. I had a Highlander and just bought a GMC Terrain and LOVE IT!
