Gluten Free
I'm having a playdate at my house and the other mom is on a gluten free diet. I wanted to buy some type of food/snack to serve with coffee while the kids played. Do they make gluten free bagels or some type of coffee cake? Excuse my ignorance as I don't know anything about this.
TIA

Re: Gluten Free
please don't get gluten free bagels - they are SO gross they're like hockey pucks!
You can use a quick mix to make cookies (sugar or chocolate chip) or cake from Cherrybrook Kitchen. They sell it at whole foods and i've seen it at stop and shop. Make sure it says gluten free, not just dairy/egg/peanut free on the box.
Whole Foods sells at a gluten free coffee cake that I actually really like but I cannot remember who makes it...

Re: Gluten Free
some bakeries carry gluten free things, i think there is one in bellmore. if you are looking for afternoon snack, my friend eats lots of corn chips, salsa, guacamole, potaoe chips, etc.

Re: Gluten Free
GF brownies from a mix are super easy to make (you add like an egg and a cup of oil or something) and are DELICIOUS! I use the Pamela's brand ones -- you can get them at whole foods or most grocery stores in the specialty aisle that sells organic / GF items.
