Gliders...
Where did you get yours and around how much was it? We looked at Bellini yesterday (where we bought the crib and dresser) but thought $1k was a little much for a glider. Thoughts?

Re: Gliders...
We got the shermag cherry glider from BRU. It reclines and is sooo comfy! We were very lucky that my grandmother bought it for us. It's $350 normally but she got it on sale for I think 275. You can look for a 20% off coupon which would make it about the same price.

What? Which Bellini? We ordered ours about 2 weeks ago and they said they had a "special" and it was 399 with the ottoman... We went to Manhasset one.

Ah, no way! We were at the one in Melville this weekend!! I was looking at the plusher ones, the ones without the wood. Honestly, the lady was not being very helpful with the chairs in general - maybe she didn't make commission on them or something, LOL. She didn't tell us anything about a special. Maybe we should go back and look again!!!

Oh well maybe because they were non- wood... Maybe call Manhasset and tell them you purchased furniture and wanted to know their price. Worth a shot

Re: Gliders...
Craig's list for $40. It's a wooden glider with padding and I had an ottoman that my friend recovered for me. I didn't really use it all that much when DD was born, but it was also up in her room and she slept in our room for the first 9 months. I spent most of my time on the couch with her. We've never really rocked her to sleep or anything so for us it worked out. I do know people who have beautiful gliders in their nursery's and live in them, though! Ours is covered in a ton of clothing right now because I keep putting off switching DD's closet from winter to spring clothes... I've really gotta do that because the mess is driving me bonkers.

Re: Gliders...
Our glider was pricey, but it was by far the most comfortable one that we looked at in the store. We checked out quite a few gliders at BRU and maybe 1 or 2 other stores. We bought a Dutailier glider. I used it a lot, especially at the beginning with nursing and also just to rock DS to sleep. For us, it was worth spending the extra money.

Re: Gliders...
Hi Bellini buddy
We registered for ours at Buy Buy Baby, it was actually a big pricier than the ones we found at Bellini BUT the one we registered for at Buy Buy Baby reclines, which was a necessity for us.
I think the total including the ottoman was $599.

We got our Shermag from Target. Its the standard one but its perfect bc my 6'4 290lb hubby fits in it. I think we paid around 150 and with our Target card got 5% off and free shipping.

Re: Gliders...
I got my glider and ottoman on sale on black friday at BRU for $150. I wouldn't have spent too more than that, it does the same job as all the others but doesn't recline (that wasn't a necessity for me).
