Girls that switched doctors....
Did you get copies of your records to take with you when you went to your new doctor?

I did not switch but you should always take your records with you. It can help save time/expense and its good for the new doc to see your history.

You are right...but I'm horrible at getting what I want...I know I have the right...but I feel bad asking for it since that would mean I'm not returning to their practice...silly of me I know!!!

Re: Girls that switched doctors....
I always get a copy of my records. I like to be informed of what is going on with my body. A lot of times doctors do not tell you Everything or they overlook things. I brought up the fact that I was suffering from PCOS and I wouldn't have known had I not had my records with me. I call it my infertility bible.
If you feel funny about requesting your records, you can always fax them your own authorization to release records (form) to your home address. I have done this in the past. If you need a template, I have one (FM me your email address)

I demanded a copy even though they likely would've sent the copy to my new dr...but I didn't want to take new tests b/c they didn't and/or b/c they took their sweet time. I made myself a copy as well. That way at my first appt. with the new dr., I was able to hand it to them along with all my other paperwork. They were thrilled!

All I needed was my last 3 paps. And it was at no charge b/c it was only one page each.
