Girls taking Provera
So I am on day 3 now of provera and still nothing yet. I know it can take up to 10 days but I am wonder. How long were you on Provera until AF showed? Just want to get my cycles back on track this is nuts! I need to have a hysterscopy done as the end of my cycle. Then I'll see what my gyno has to say and then after that I am probably going to seek an RE.

after 2 weeks i got a little spotting then got a regular flow again like 2 weeks after that!

i was told to take provera for 10 days.. the first time i took it i got AF on the 11th day i believe, and it was very light. the second time i took it (the next month when AF did not show up again) I got it on the 8th day taking provera and it was a bit more normal flow. let me know if you have any questions. i'm actually going to have to start my 3rd round pretty soon

Hmmmmm now I am a bit confused! Because my drs office told me that if by the last pill I have not gotten it to call the office. She didn't say anything that it will take a week to get AF. She told me it would take anywhere between 2-9 days! So totally confused!!!!!

From what I remember, I got AF after stopping, like 3-5 days later or so.

That would be great!! I do have some cramping that feels like AF is coming on. I took the 1st pillon Monday around 9:30pm and then Tuesday and Wednesday in the AM with Breakfast!
I'll let you know what tomorrow brings! I wonder why my Dr's office told me it will bring AF within 2-9 days when it seems like it will take a week after Provera is in my system!

that is def weird.. esp because i was told by my doc AF would come most likely after taking the last pill.. if you don't get AF while taking it then i wouldn't worry.

I guess I'll see when I take the last pill and then call them. I bet it may have been the secretary and she didn't know and ment to say 2-9 days after the medication was finished. Who knows???!! I believe this now that my hormones are out of whack!!!!

Finally spoke to my doctor and she wants me to wait 2 weeks (and not  ) during that time and THEN take the Provera. Oi vey....too bad we last night

you should get AF either at the end of the pills or within a few days after. 3-5 days after the last pill was always when i got AF. you wouldnt get it on day 2 of taking the pill because provera is synthetic progesterone. its the drop in progesterone that causes AF. you wont have the "drop" on the second day of taking the pill, although if your body produced any of its own progesterone you may get AF towards the end of the pill cycle. most of the time people get AF due to the drop in progesterone a few days after the last pill.

I'm on Day 5 of the meds. Feel some pulls but no sign of AF yet. DH is hoping maybe I'm preggo. I told him there is no telling whether I am or not cause I have no Idea if O'd the last time we had relations! How is everyone else feeling while on Provera?

if there is any chance at all that you are pregnant you need to take an HPT. im surprised your ob/gyn didnt test you - you absolutely CANNOT take provera if you are pregnant.
please please please take a test or see a doctor if you really think you are pregnant, although i cannot imagine a doctor prescribing provera for anyone who has any possibility of being pregnant.

i would not totally worry if you get a BFP while taking the provera- i asked my doc about this possibility and if it would harm the baby and she said no its just progesterone, you may bleed but it won't harm the baby.. so that made me feel a little better (doubt i am pg but just in case!)

Don't worry I don't have a BFP!!! I've been nervous while taking provera afraid I may be pregnant1 I have been POAS constantly just to make sure! I have 5 pills left to go. I kinda feel like it's coming though. I'll be so happy when it is so I can figure out my cycles!
