Girls/Guys that had wisdom teeth out
I had all 4 impacted wisdom teeth out on Thursday and I seriously still look like a chipmunk on top of feeling like total crap  I called out sick to work tonight and they can't understand why I can't work  
Does anyone remember at what point they felt their swelling was starting to improve? I cannot go out in public looking like this. I swear its worse every day instead of improving. Thanks in advance!!

1 week for it to be totally down, but I went back to work at 4 days and only a few people noticed my face looked a bit swollen.

I had mine out on a Friday. By Tuesday, I noticed that the swelling had finally gone down considerably. It was still there a little bit, but not nearly as bad.

I had the 2 top ones taken out and I felt like crap for about a week. Make face was all swollen and I had a little bruising. So I can imagine how having all 4 out must feel. The other 2 can stay in my head and rot b/4 I have them out.

I had 4 impacted pulled on a Thursday and did not go back to work until Tuesday. I was still swollen and bruised though

It took about a week. I used frozen corn on my mouth and it helped. I also took tylenol, drank slurpees and ate chx broth. It takes some time but the more you rush it the worse it is. About 2wks before I coud eat "real" food again, and almost a month before I could chew gum. Just try to relax not talk to much and keep ice on it.

About a week. Mine were all compacted so not only was I swollen, it took forever for the bleeding to stop and I had stitches all over the place. It was horrible

I had a horrible experience when I had all four of mine out (they were also impacted). It was like no one was understanding! They don't know how bad it is unless they are in it. Don't feel bad about work-- that is VERY painful. I had dry sockets, I couldn't really eat normal food for WEEKS... it was awful.

I had all four of mine out too but it was over 20 years ago. I remember being on soft foods for a while.

You have to ice your face!! That is the most important part. I had basically no swelling because I iced my face almost all day and night. It will also help with any pain.
