GIrls bathing suit sizes
I learned from last year after waiting too late in the season to buy bathing suits to get out earlier to shop. I am just a little unsure of sizing. Last year dd was wearing 24 months in clothing and 2t in bathing suits. Now she has just started to wear size 3T clothing.... I am not sure if that is the size I should buy in bathing suits? Trying things on are really tortuous with her. TIA

I always used to find that toddler one piece bathing suits ran kind of small...I dont know if that's still the case though.
2 piece bathing suits ran pretty true to size....

Re: GIrls bathing suit sizes
I bought a 4T this year and DD is going into 3T in some things. When I lifted the bathing suit up, the 3T seemed really small. The diaper takes up so much room.

I found that to be true last year with one pieces also, esp. while wearing the swim diapers.
This year, I'm confused too. DD will be 2 in June but is still in 18-24 month clothes...for bathing suits, I've bought a few 3Ts instead of 2Ts b/c they did seem to run small last year...but I hope they're not huge on her.

I always bought 1 size up - so this year she is 3 years old, so her suits are size 4T. I don't really buy one piece - at first because it's a pain to change a diaper, but now even more so since it will be easier for her to use the potty. I buy the suits that have the rash guard tops (like t-shirts), like this:
