Re: Girl names

I should start by saying that DH picked our DD name and I had no say in the matter (a compromise made being that if we had/have a boy he would be named after my grandfather).

With that, once DD was born the name DH picked became the most beautiful name I had ever heard bc it belonged to our DD.

Re: Girl names

I feel your pain...I am having such a difficult time naming our little girl. DH and I don't agree on anything and I like the popular names, Sofia, Gianna, Adrianna/Adriana, Isabella, Emma, Ava, etc. but I do not want to use such a popular name. I'm also a teacher so some names I have to eliminate right off the bat, lol.

I LOVE Harper but it's my ex boyfriend's last name so that's out.

At the top of my list is Alessandra...

but I want it pronounced with SOHNdra, not SANdra (like "sand")...and I feel like people may mispronounce it often. Her nickname could be Lessie or Ally/Allie.

I also like:

--Milania...but our last name also starts with an M and is very Italian

--Brynn
--Dylan

But Alessandra is the only name that I feel like is an actual possibility. ~ 19 more weeks to make a decision, lol

If we had had a third girl, she would have been Eleanor or Margaret.

I also love the name Fallon. Otherwise, I'm a fan of those beautiful, classic names like Elizabeth, Amelia, or Victoria, etc.

Alessandra is beautiful and I really don't think the majority would pronounce it with the "sand" sound. I know an Alessandra and she is called Allie. So cute!

To the op - I like names like:
Juliet (my dd, so obvs!)
Charlotte
Colette
Madeline
Caroline (my own name and I mainly go by cari, but I think it's so pretty for someone else!)

I agree with your picks. Along with classic names, I also love the name Sloane.
