Gingerbread University? What else is there to
do out there? any other fun things? and recommendations on kid friendly places to eat? I'd like to make a day of it out there!! (no aquarium though!!)

If you travel a bit further, you can go to the Children's Museum of the East End. It's cute there. Otherwise Safari Adventure in Riverhead is the only thing I can think of that is kid fun. There is the LI Science Center downtown, but we went once several years ago and it was really lame.
