Gift for 2nd Time Momma
My SIL is pregnant with her 2nd DC and her mother will be hosting a sprinkle for her. Her DD is 5 so it's been some time since the first but I know she has the big things- stroller, swing, changing table, etc. She did not find out the gender with her first and won't again this time. I'm just trying to think of what to get her that would be helpful. I know the type of bottles she preferred, so I figured a pack of those, some clothes (DC is being born in a completely different season than the first so even if they have clothes, they might not work), and diapers. But I'm drawing a blank otherwise. Help!

How about a photography package? Or a gift card for Blue Apron or meal prep service? You could do a gift certificate to a baby store so that she could pick out clothes for baby. Car seats may be retiring soon... so have her check!

Swaddles, blankets, baby carrier? Diapers are always a win!

Re: Gift for 2nd Time Momma
For dd2, We needed more washcloths and burp cloths (we love those Aden and Anais once that later can snap into bibs). We also needed another baby bathtub b/c that was something I didn’t save. And another play gym.
We also got a new rock n play, because I wasn’t sure if anything got moldy in storage between the hard back and the sling part being that you can’t wash it. I remember there was all sorts of social media drama over this when dd1 was born 5 years ago so I figured I’d just replace it.

We made a bath basket for my friend’s sprinkle. Hooded towels, washcloths, squirt toys, and bath products. It was a hit!

Re: Gift for 2nd Time Momma
I would do a gift card. That way she can get exactly what she needs. I'm PG with #2 and my cousin threw me a surprise sprinkle last weekend. I got a ton of stuff I didn't need and diapers/products that I can't use due to allergies. I'll be donating them (which is better than it all going to waste) but it still stinks. I know they would have preferred to buy the stuff I actually need, they just had no way of knowing what any of it actually was.
I got a lot of cute outfits, but I'd recommend not getting newborn size. There's no way I'll use all these NB outfits before the baby outgrows that size. The baby might even be born too big for NB. My first kid was long and nothing NB sized really fit because of the length.

Newborn napper wasn’t around 5 yrs ago and people like it.
Does she have an ergo/carrier.
Amazon, target, fresh direct gift cards for delivery. Also local takeout places.
They have cute frames “me and my sister”
I’d also get something for big sister.

Re: Gift for 2nd Time Momma
Thank you all!
Photography package won't work- she's a photographer and has a photographer friend who does any family shoots. Too bad, because it's a good one!
I like the idea of the bath basket. We didn't save DD's tub either, so I doubt she did.
And I was thinking of the Boppy newborn lounger. I know she didn't have one and I loved that thing with my DD.
I guess nothing from BRU since they're closing and I want her to be able to easily return anything she doesn't want. BOO!
ETA: Definitely getting something for big sis- I don't know how she's going to handle not being the one and only anymore!
