gift etiquette question
My DH had to work late on Christmas Eve and we knew couldn't make it to see his extended family so we mailed a card with gift cards to his cousin's younger children on the 12/21. On Christmas Day, his mom brought over gifts from the cousin for us. Yesterday, I sent an inbox to the cousin thanking her for the gifts, Happy New Year, etc. When she wrote back, there was no mention of the gift cards. I'm afraid that the card was lost in the mail (DH did not get it insured.) Is there a tactful way to ask if they received it without looking like I'm fishing for a thank you?

I think a simple "You got the gift cards, right? I hope so-and-so gets something great with it!" or something like that is okay.

Re: gift etiquette question
I agree with PP.
I just come out and ask.
Have done this multiple times, especially when I had something shipped to a person's house.
