GHI co pay increase?
Dramatic increase but the one about urgent care confuses me. Are clinics like pm pediatrics and first med considered that?

Yes.
Thank you for posting - the benefits are under my DH so I hadn't heard anything about this. We utilize urgent cares frequently so this increase is going to hurt!

Re: GHI co pay increase?
I didn't hear anything about a co pay increase, that is strange. We always go to PM Pediatrics. How much is the increase?

Me either. But your copay is determined by your employer/plan I have had GHI for years and my copay was always lower than others with GHI- it's all set by your particular plan and what your employer is paying
I always paid the same at PM peds and Stat Health type places where others have paid a "specialist' copay for those places

Yes I believe we have the same plan. Just paid $15 for DS yesterday at PM Pediatrics which is why I am confused! lol.

It all depends on your employer. Everyone's copays are diffrent. I have ghi and they aren't going up at all.

I always pay the $15 copay there too. Based on this, the copay goes to $50.
I found something on the UFT site and it says it applies to other groups but, it's unclear which groups it applies to... If it's NYPD or FDNY as well or other city employees.
Trying to get in touch with my DH to see if he has heard anything (he frequently attends union meetings). He usually fills me in on this type of thing though (since I'm usually the one going to the urgent care for either myself or the kids).

Re: GHI co pay increase?
My sister is a teacher for DOE and just sent me a pic of the increases. Biggest jumps are Urgent Care, MRI/CT scans and ER visits. Wonder when it will go into effect.

So if you just had one you won't pay the increase?
My daughter just had a MRI. The co pay was 300 already!!

Oh wow that's crazy! According to this thing she sent me it says "changes in the coming months" so I'm not sure when it goes into effect. I didn't get a letter about it or anything.

If you are getting changes to your copays you will receive new cards in the mail with the new copays printed on them.

GHI co pay increase?
I spoke with my DH - originally they were planning on increasing regular copays to $20 and keeping Urgent Care visits the same. Last week, they revealed this new plan to keep regular copays the same and increase the Urgent Care visits.
This does impact the FDNY (so I'm assuming NYPD too) and goes into effect July 1 so I'm sure you will be hearing more in the coming weeks.

Re: GHI co pay increase?
I go to the Dr so infrequently I really don't mind either way. And even if i had to pay double to go to Stat Health I would because they are just SOOOO much more convenient than regular doctors. Well worth it! Although- we are Emblem now...is that the same?

Yes - it's the same. It's the City Employee Plan.
I guess overall, compared to others, I can't complain. Need to find a new PCP though - since ours has told my father in law to go to the ER at times when he was sick (not that I get sick often but, I don't even bother calling since the copay is the same as urgent care).
ETA - I wish they did this sooner though so I could have utilized my flex spending accordingly.

It sucks with kids because we could be there 3 times in a month. Instead of 45$, we are taking 150$!
