Getting sick and tired of the funeral protesters
Every news story about Elizabeth Edwards' funeral just HAD to mention these dumbazz anti-gay protesters (the same ones who protest at military funerals). They actually had signs saying "Elizabeth burn in Hell" and "Thank god for Breast Cancer". Yeah, freedom of speech. Great. Nice messages there azzwipes.
Here's the thing I keep thinking. Why must the media insist on reporting about them? If the media decided not to report on them, would they then go away because they're not getting any publicity? There were very few protesters at the funeral, but yet they get national coverage.

I also think if the media didn't report on them maybe they would go away....... but I think they'd probably be satisfied with just the people walking/driving by seeing them...... Its wrong that that won't let the funeral be peaceful.

what losers..really. the woman suffered for 6 years. and while I dont agree with her husband's ideas/ideaology, my heart breaks for what this woman went through.

It's sensationalist media for sure.
The only upside is that it brought out so many counter protesters. There were over 300 people blocking the 5 funeral protesters.

that's terrible.
I'm all for gay rights... but there are ways to go about things... this is def NOT one of them!!

People like these protesters make me sick. They run around saying how God and Jesus hate these people. It's really funny, because if they actually bothered to read the New Testament, they would realize that their religious works are about love...not this horrible protest and hatred.

just to make sure this is clear, Edwards was a supporter of gay-rights and same-sex marriage. The protesters are from an anti-gay rights organization.
My father is a member of the American Legion and there are a number of members with motorcycles who go to Calverton funerals to block these protesters.
