I am SO sick and tired...
of people telling me I should get the flu and swine flu shots and why.
I've done my research and I'm not getting either this year. End of story! But people don't want to hear that, god forbid, I have a mind of my own and want to make my own decisions about MY body and MY baby.
I KNOW that I am not a doctor. That doesn't make me an idiot.
My grandmother even decided to ask my uncle (who is a doctor) about it so I could have HIS unsolicited advice too.
And this morning my supervisor tells me I should get it because I have a kid at home, and they're offering it down the street for free.
I am seriously considering telling people I got it just so they will lay off

i agree.. .people are telling me all the time to get it.
but i think i will go with what my doctor says rather than everyone else.

though I got my flu shot I agree that everyone has a right to their own decision when it comes to their health.  People need to lay off!!!

My SIL is a dr and was basically screaming at my DH to make me get it. I understand her concern, a week prior to their conversation she had a pregnant woman under her hospitals care pass away.
My feeling is, my body my intuition. I don't want it, I don't feel comfortable, I'm not going to get it. JMHO.

I just posted about the flu shots last night....If it would have been up to just me I would not have gotten the H1N1, but it was important to Joe that I have it because of the baby and in the end I did get it. I don't regret the decision, but I would have not received it if it had not been for my DH. I think that there is this unnecessary fear about H1N and that it's a personal decision. I also feel like they are REALLY pushing a vaccine that we don't know any long tern effects about.
LB when people ask if you received it I would just ask them if they have had their yearly pap or prostate exam yet. It will never cease to amaze me that people see a pg women and all of a sudden they have the right to ask questions that are personal and nobody's business. Be strong and fight back

I agree!! I actually got a voicemail last night talking about the swine flu, I threw my cell phone and my DH thought it was my MIL  .
I just don't understand why everyone needs to tell me there opinions when I never asked for them.
