Getting OUT of the highchair and stroller
My 15 month old apparently thinks he is a Houdini - he can get out of the Graco highchair and stroller with the 5 point buckles. Anyone else's kid do this?

Re: Getting OUT of the highchair and stroller
Omg, be careful!!! When my DS was 10 months old, he unbuckled himself from the high chair and LEAPT out of it, smashing his front tooth off on the dining room table. It was a nightmare... ambulance, hospital, dental surgery, etc.
If there was a buckle on it, my kid could unbuckle it. He's 10 now, and I think he's a genius so maybe it's just a sign of amazing brains.

Re: Getting OUT of the highchair and stroller
Once my DD turned herself around and stood up facing me in her stroller...not while it was moving though...in her defense I don't think I had the straps tight enough.

Re: Getting OUT of the highchair and stroller
DS is nearly 8m and he's practicing, he picks at the buckle the entire time he's sitting in it.
What scared me more, is he started to pick at the carseat buckles. at least those I cover up with blanket and put a toy on top to distract.

Re: Getting OUT of the highchair and stroller
Logan did it once in the highchair, but i held his hand on the buckle and said, "No, No!" 3 times.
now every time i buckle him into something, he shakes his finger at me and says, "NO NO!!!"

Re: Getting OUT of the highchair and stroller
Sometimes yes. I stopped using the high chair and I've started using a booster seat with a removable tray b.c it isn't as high up but can be put on a regular chair b.c DD climbs in and out of it. She would take her arms out of the stroller straps and twist and stand up around 12 months it drove me crazy. Luckily she has stopped doing that so it isn't an issue anymore - but I still watch her closely b/c if she really wants out she will start trying again.
I feel your pain
