GD girls
Who manages your GD, checks your numbers, diet, medicine, insulin, or whatever else is needed?
In the past my OB has always done all of this in office. They have a nutritionist who i've seen once but i go through my job and speak with our on site nutritionsist for free.
I've seen alot of people saying that they were referred to an endocronologist for treatment.
This pregnancy my numbers are so off both highs and lows and nothing like i've ever experienced before. I'm wondering if maybe I should go to an endo or if just sticking with my dr's office and following their course of treatment.
Just wondering what the norm is - your ob/ dr or endo?

GD girls
When I had GD I had to see both my OB and the specialist at Madonna. They were the ones that really watched my numbers and prescribed my medication. I also got all my growth sonos there as well. OB's office did the NST's but Madonna does those too.

I was sent to maternal fetal medicine to see a nutritionist every 2weeks. They managed me and my ob just asked how I was doing. I think they were getting the reports with my progress. Did anyone recommend you going to an Endo ?

I see the dietician, perinatologist, and have my sonos at madonna. They have been great so far.

I was sent over to an endocrinologist and they handled my treatment the whole pregnancy.

I've only seen an endo about it.
It doesn't hurt to meet with one!

Beachmom - Do you mind FMing me your OB's name? I'm going to Winthrop Perinatal for GD, but would much prefer only having to go to my OBs office. In case I need to switch or for next time, I'd love to know who your OB is. Thanks!
