Re: GD diet?
you can pretty much eat anything BUT sugar and you need to cut back on the amount of carbs you eat.
whole grain/high fiber carbs are best- brown rice, high fiber cereal like Kashi, brown rice pasta, sweet potatoes....
you also need to watch fruits- i was OK on lower sugar fruits like cantelope and berries... I did have a small apple here or there but it had to be a small apple.
i used to only eat from 1/2 cup to a cup of carbs at a time. Your doctor or dietician should provide you with an exchange list and an eating plan- I had certain rules like I couldn't eat fruit before 12 and I had to have 1 dairy with every meal.

Re: GD diet?
your blood sugar might be too low now... what have you eaten so far today...??? you still need to make sure you are getting enough calories. i wish I still had my information -but I threw it out after DD was born.
maybe try having a piece of cheese and a few whole grain crackers? you still need to eat carbs- you just can't eat them w/o watching.
