Gate Checked Items
When you gate check items on a plane (strollers, car seats, etc), where are they when you get off the plane? Does the airline take it off or do you? I'm trying to remember from when we traveled to T&C in 2010 but I can't remember.
We will be flying with our LOs in the fall (one ticketed child and one lap infant) and I'm already having anxiety about how we will be able to get on and off with all this stuff ! We will most likely have 2 car seats and a double stroller to gate check (not to mention our carry on stuff). I remember having my hands full when we traveled just with DD!
Also, do you think it would be easier to gate check both car seats or would you put the ticketed child (over 2 years old) in their car seat?
Thanks!

Gate Checked Items
You pick up gate check items planeside.
We usually check our carseats with our luggage so we don't have to bring them through the airport. We check the double stroller planeside.
We used the CARES harness for DS when he was under 3 but, now we just put him into the seat and he sits when he's supposed to.

Thank you! Do you put the car seats in some kind of travel bag or leave them as is?

I usually put them in a red gate check bag (like a big laundry bag).

Re: Gate Checked Items
I would check the car seats with your lugggage. It is to much to lug 2 of them around the airport along with 2 kids and all the other stuff you have.
The stroller is waiting right outside the plane door.

Same here. Use AMEX to make your reservations as they have better travel insurance than other ccs.
