Gas for $1.06
"Kiss Our Gas Long Island! We're giving you $1.06 a gallon gas TODAY at 12 Noon at Lukoil, 515 East Main St. and Brentwood Rd. in Bay Shore! The first 106 cars get regular gas at a $1.06 a gallon, limit 10 gallons. We're fed up with high gas prices! Kiss Our Gas!"
Wondered if anyone knew someone going to this. My dh went in the area and got on line at 8:45 this morning and there were 35 people in front of him!!

I dont know if its just me but I would rather drive ALOT less then sit on a gas line at 8 am. Could you imagine 5 hrs of just sitting there.

Honestly- NOTHING is worth that to me.
I'll pay the $3.85 a gallon to avoid that...
That's like shopping on Black Friday just to get a sale price- no thanks!

I guess if someone has the time and it's worth it that much to them, then go for it. It's close to a $30 savings since they limit you to only 10 gals.
And you don't actually have to have the engine running the entire time that you're sitting there waiting.

I don't think he had the car running the entire time. You got numbers and they were giving away t-shirts and things.
He said he paid $8.50 to have his entire tank filled.

Well for many people, it IS worth the money. My dh just got layed off so this really helps us not dip into our savings while he is out on job interviews this week :)
