Gardening Ques
We are intending on putting tulips in the flower bed in the front of the house as well as around the mailbox (need to landscape and box that one out)- nice assortment of white, deep red and a light pink.
My question is - They are in bloom for a short while, are we able to plant anything else to come up during another season or do you need to leave it SOLELY for tulip bulbs?
I am not the 'gardening type' per se - I know we want to perennials because I can't imagine doing annuals yearly solely, when I can do annuals just to accent (ya know play around with colors and flowers)
What other perennials can we plant if we are planning to do tulips (if that is what we are able to do?) - TIA

Re: Gardening Ques
When we planted our bulbs, we planted bulbs that bloom different time frames.......ex. late spring.....early summer......late summer, etc.
All the bulbs are just inches (if that) apart from each other.
If you do perennials, can you do them maybe 6 inches in front of your bulbs......or 6 inches behind the bulb area?
This way nothing gets in anyone's way..........
