Funny things children say

don't know if this has been done before but I thought a thread about our funny children would be cute. I'll go first.

When Jonathan started reading he saw a sign on a telephone pole that said "Lab Puppies" then had the contact info listed. He wanted to know what kind of lab puppies they were and if the dogs had something wrong with them. I said huh?????? He said are they from brookhaven lab or a different lab and what kind of experiments they did on the puppies. I had to pull the car over I was so hard. Poor Jon had no idea why I was laughing!

Lab Puppies = breed my dear son!

My turn.

My niece is going to be 3 on July 4th and this is one of her recent conversations with her mom (my sister).

Niece: "Mom... I want a little sister"
Mom: "I don't have anything in my belly sweetie"
Niece: "Oh... that's OK, let's get one at the grocerie store"

My 3 1/2 year old niece picked her mom's bra up of the floor and ran after her saying" mommy, mommy dont forget your boobie holders"...cute.

Yesterday, 4yo DS kept asking me who "Shud" was. I was running through the list of characters or names I thought it could be... Me: "Spud (from Bob the Builder)"?
DS: "No, Shud!, the green guy from Bob the Builder"
Me: "You mean Travis?"
DS: "Yeah, his name is Shud. Like good friends Shud"
Me: "Oh... *SHOULD*"
DS: "Yeah, Shud"



(For those who don't know the Bob the Builder theme song, it shows the tractor and scarecrow on the screen, and the words are "Travis and Spud, Working together like good friends should."

My son was singing a few songs the other day while playing in the living room. He sings all the theme songs to his favorite TV shows (makes me think he watches too much TV ), but anyway, he's then starts singing other songs.

I hear him singing "This old man, he plays 1, he plays knick knack on his drum ..."

Then his next line was "with a knick knack Pontiac, give the dog a bone"

It helps to know that DH is a Pontiac dealer.....

my son was eating a sweedish fish the other day and has a lisp when he speaks and he says you know what mom?? this is the sweedish fish EVER!!

Yesterday we went to some Earth Day celebration in the afternoon. They were giving away balloons to the kiddies. Well, when we got in the car - it was soo hot the balloon burst (not sure why). She began to FREAK OUT hysterically. I felt so bad. All of a sudden she stopped and said "Are you getting me another one??" with a serious tone. I was like "Sorry baby, we're not at the party anymore - there is no more balloons". So she said "No...not at the party, but the dollar store has PLENTY!!!" and pointed in the direction on 112 of where the dollar store was. Couldn't argue with her there...so we got another one

Can't get her to articulate anything else but when it comes to important matters like balloons, she has alot to say!
