Christening invite question

Christening invite question
I am tring to cut down my list of 100 people down to under 100 but it is very difficult to do because it is all close family. Do you think it would be rude not to invite someone to the christening if they were invited to my baby shower but didn't show up and just sent a gift card? Or did your christening invite list differ from the invite list for your shower?

our baptism list is much smaller than the shower list was. We're just having close family, and a few long time friends.

This is what we are doing.
We would have loved to invite everyone - but you have to cut back somewhere.
Just our immediate family is 27 people. That is our parents, brothers, sisters and their kids

My christening list was different from my baby shower list...
The christening was for family and close close friends.... DH and I didnt invite any co-workers... and neither of our parents friends were invited...
(We also didnt invite anyone out of state- unless it was one of our siblings- but that was for both my shower and christening)
