 Christening question....how much?
How much did your baby's christening cost overall (including invitations, church, party afterwards, etc.)? Did you give a favors? Did you have a DJ? How many guests did you have? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to get an idea.

 Re: Christening question....how much?
Jared's christening was 27 dollars per person and we had about 45 people. It was at Vincents in Carle Place. Plus we also had a bar bill. I gave out favors that were frames with pictures in it. We didn't have a DJ either.

 Re: Christening question....how much?
Aidan's was $26.95 per person ($35 pp w/ tax and 20% gratuity) Kids 5-10 half price. We had 57 adults and 10 children. Bar tab was separate and was just about the same as the food! No DJ, I made chocolate covered pretzels and put them in bags for favors and ordered blue frosted heart cookies also.
It was at a golf club so we did get vouchers for a free foursome of golf which was nice.

 Re: Christening question....how much?
we had ours kids christenings at home and it cost about $500 for food, liquor, soda, desert, papergoods. I always love having it at home because you don't feel rushed and my family usually likes to hang out a bit later. we priced having it out, but i'd personally prefer to put the extra $ i would of spent on having it out into their bank accounts for cars for them or for their weddings! it's definitelt more work to have it at home, but my best friend and parents usually help me and we get the ood out and then kitchen cleaned up quick! we always have about 50 peoplein total.

 Re: Christening question....how much?
Okay, everybody's answering pretty much what I figured. I bought some cards to make my own invites for $19.99 and they came with matching "thank you" cards. We're not going to get a DJ. We're going to have brunch at the beach tree, which is $22 per person (we're having about 40) and the brunch includes unlimited soda and coffee and a free mimosa or bloody mary per person. We're debating on the open bar, which is $6 extra per person. Cake would be $3 extra per person, or $1 extra per person if we bring our own. Sounds like we're going to end up at around $1000-1500, depending on our final decisions. Thanks for answering everybody!

LOL, yeah, well I'm figuring since it will be a brunch and a free mimosa or bloody mary is included per person, there's really no need for the open bar.

No DJ, and I gave out candle favors that I got made up with her name and date of her christening on it, that was $60 for 25 of them. Plus the balloon centerpieces I got made up for each table, that came to $125. Total was :$ 2, 640

 Re: Christening question....how much?
Ours was about $2500 all together. I know it sounds high, but we waited so long for this day, so it was also a celebration for my DW and all she had to go through.
