 Health Insurance Question-Feedback NEEDED
As some of you know, I was layed off in February and we were getting health coverage through my employer. We were going to go on COBRA but right before the deadline to decide to go on COBRA, my DH got a new job with Health benefits. The benefits kicked in on May 1.
My Concern: Most of you know that I have had a longer than average cycle which there could be a possibility that I "O-ed" this month and not last month. God Willing, if I did ovulate and I am preggers, Do you know if our new health Insurance would give me a hard time due to the fact that they may think I had a pre-existing condition?? And, How would they know? I am only asking because I did not think of this until I saw a story on TCOYF with a woman with a similar situation. Also, I just received paper work from the provider asking if we have preexisting condition?
This is the reason why I am reluctant to call my Doctor for a blood test.
  Please ......any feedback anyone?

 Re: Health Insurance Question-Feedback NEEDED
Some companies consider preganany a preexisting condition that they do not cover, others cover it. Call your husband's company and find out before you fill out the paper work. there might not be anything you can do in the end but i feel like most companies i've heard about do not consider pregnancy a preexisting condition that they exclude.

If I am PG, I must of Ovulated this month. If they go by last cycle, they may think that it was last month that I ovulated.

I would think you would have no problem. My DH just got on my medical may 1st and has an appt may 24th for a dermatologist for a procedure to be done...
I would check to be sure, but I think theres no problem.

 Re: Health Insurance Question-Feedback NEEDED
what insurance company do you have? I think you all know I work for EMpire, We do not consider Pregnancy a pre-x.here areY VERY few that do. If you had insurance previously without a 60 day break between the two, pre-x also does not apply( thats ny state law) . CALL your insurance. FM me if you want more advice.
