 | At what age did you totally stop the jars of baby food? just wondering what the average age is? I haven't given them to Kiera that much since her first birthday and someone I work with was surprised that I still don't feed them to her. She's 15 months and she totally hates the meats and veggies in the jar. She would still eat the fruits and cereals if I gave them to her but I figured since she's eating solids now, why give her the jars? |

 | Re: At what age did you totally stop the jars of baby food? I have to say my son was about 16 months before he stoppped wanting his jarred food.I tried so hard to feed him other things but he always would just cry and point to his jars.. I would even try to trick him and scoope out the baby food and put my own in but he was smart enough to figure out what I was doing..

Then one day..just like that.. he wanted some bites of MY food on MY plate.. hes never wanted his jar food again.

I think its great that your 1 year old wants to eat other things.. It makes life soooo much easier I think.

 | Re: At what age did you totally stop the jars of baby food? About 10 months with both my kids. Once they got a taste of table food, it was all over. Neither of them likes the meats and my son hated the Stage 3 stuff so I didnt even bother with it for my daughter. |

 | Re: At what age did you totally stop the jars of baby food? My son is 20 months, and I would say he moved away from jarred food at 13 months, but then he was all table food. However, he would still on occasion have a Gerber Graduate microwave meal thingy, and even now, at 20 months, he loves oatmeal with a jar of Stage 2 fruit in it. SO I still buy some jarred fruit for him. Why not, right? |

 | Re: At what age did you totally stop the jars of baby food? Probably a vast majority, it was over by 9 months. I've always just given her what we ate and she always liked it. If we were out or something (like at a friends, esp with no kids,) I gave her the graduates, but it was rare.
If they like it, I don't think it's a big deal! I, personally, refuse to cook something separate!
