MIL story - this ones a funny one
So last weekend Ray and I went out to dinner with his parents. His mother was telling me a story and I was so lost. She says "I went to Target and picked myself up 4 new pairs of Thongs. And they were on sale too. Yesterday I was walking around the house in my new thongs and I decided to move the dresser....." by this point I am like W T F is she talking about... I didn't think she would wear thongs especially walk around the house in them... and then she said "And one of my thongs fell off and I felt the floor was wet" AND then it all made sense she was talking about thongs as in sandals!!!! So I must have looked confused so I said I thought you were talking about underwear this whole time.. so we started laughing.. then Ray's dad said "In My Dreams!!!!!!"
It was so funny And Ray was so embarrassed!

Ray's dad saying "In My Dreams" just tops off the whole story
Reminds me of the time when my elderly aunt in Ireland kept calling for the cat but she kept saying "Where's my p u s s y?" I was 13 and couldn't contain myself.

That reminds me. My mom's a second grade teacher and her principal was talking to the teachers in the auditorium during a staff meeting. He instructed them all that they were not supposed to wear "thongs," and one of the teachers said something like, "but that's all I own!" Everyone cracked up and the principal (who is not well liked) was SO embarrassed!
