 Hospital Bag
Just started to get things together for my hospital bag. I bought lysol spray to disinfect the bathroom(that's a germaphobe for ya). Are there any special things besides toiletries that we should pack?? I'm doing it early so I don't forget anything.....

 Re: Hospital Bag
Besides clothes for a 2-4 day stay, I would suggest...
Extra socks Santiary pads - the hospital has them, but you may want better ones than the ginormous ones they give you Hair tie Camera Address Book
It's a toiletry - but for me, I was never so thrilled to have & use my razor!

 Re: Hospital Bag
Your own towel. The ones at Winthrop were so little and felt like sandpaper.
Extra pairs of underware!! I brought lots and lots. No one gave me the disposable ones..

 Re: Hospital Bag
I packed a full bag and you know what I used....
ONE PAIR OF PJ PANTS AND ONE SHIRT!!! Didn't put on my own undies till I was close to going home since the netting ones were actually kind of comfy and I was afraid of leaking, which I did a little with the net underwear.
The hospital gave me those socks with the grips on the bottom and I had the gown for labor and wore that till after I took a nice shower the next day.
I did use my toothbrush and toothpaste and my shampoo/conditioner in the shower and my own towel.
The pads the hospital gave me were super size....like almost an adult daiper, but still a pad and it was great coverage. They also gave me ice diapers....they took the newborn diapers, seperated the cotton lining and stuffed ice in it and then stuck that in my undies on top of the pad for the swelling. It helped ALOT, plus the diaper part absorbed some of the blood as well.

 Re: Hospital Bag
baby wipes for changing the baby..since the hospital will make you use just water and cloth or cotton balls
