I wonder the same thing. It looks like they distance themselves in the studio. No clue why. But then again, they did have a reporter wearing a mask during a virtual interview lol

The girl in the morning FINALLY took her mask off. It was ridiculous as she is out there at 6am with no one around wearing a mask.

How do you know you won't be hospitalized?
It's not something any of us can know ahead of time. There were many healthy young people who have been hospitalized and/or died.

Why can’t people make their own decisions why they don’t want it without people trying to say well I don’t want to convince you, buuuttt...
Many feel this has not been tested long term for Covid 19 and would like to wait to see if there will be long term effects that will appear. All might be good now but who knows in a year or 5. I would hate to rush to give to kids and it turns out they do have fertility issues or other things that they will bring into adulthood.
This is an rushed, emergency vaccine that is not even fully approved by the FDA. You can’t sue if something happens to you.

Trust me, it will be approved in kids soon enough and they'll be forcing it down the throats of young children who's risk of this virus are miniscule. Just wait. So you can take protecting kids off that list. I'm sure it will soon be mandated to send our kids to school.

People don’t see how they see being forced to do something as they just want to follow the crowd, the crowd who has no clue either but don’t want to be the black sheep and not do as they are told.
I though of you yesterday watching the Kentucky Derby and all the unmasked people on top of one another lol.

I was wondering how she knows she won't get hospitalized either maybe she is a mystic who knows all?????? One of my cousins just finished a 15 day stint in the hospital with Covid...young, picture of health, owns a holistic company, no pre-existing conditions. Her words were she feels very lucky that she made it out and is alive.

I feel like there must be some sort of genetic component to who gets severe cases and who doesn't. Was this cousin related to the two cousins of yours that passed away from Covid?

I guess I’m an optimist. I refuse to live in fear. I can’t stand the doom and gloom attitude. Plus (knock on wood) I have a great immune system.
I’ve watched vaccinated-double masked people stand six feet apart from their own family members outdoors....should I ask them why they are convinced they will catch Covid if they stand next to each other? Or wear only one mask? Nope....whatever floats your boat. They want to think they will catch it and I think I won’t end up hospitalized.

ITA. My kid has been around 2 friends who had Covid, all recovered, was just basically a bad cold and never got it. One they were together for a week, slept next to each other, spent all day and night together.2 negative tests.

Bingo. The same people who are willing to go on a cruise with masks after all have been vaccinated. Guess they think they will catch it even though they are convinced they are ok with a vaccine. I am fine being unmasked around everyone if I could.

Statistically, the younger and healthier you are, the less likely you are to end up in the hospital. It's not a guarantee, but it's much less. My fear was never so much being hospitalized. It was more the long term effects of even mild cases. I have no interest in long term lung damage or a higher risk of heart disease.
As far as double masking, has that ever been proven to be beneficial? I don't know anyone who has ever double masked...I know they exist lol but just didn't think that was ever proven to work.
Side note...yesterday my twins went to a birthday party outside in a park. The parents of the birthday child requested everyone wear masks except when they were eating pizza and cupcakes. One mother went on a rant- at a 6 yr olds birthday party- and dragged her child out of the party while he cried hysterically saying he wanted to wear the mask and stay at the party. I don't get it. Just let your kid wear the mask and have fun with his friends! The reason the mother requested masks- she is immunocompromised and her doctor has not given her ok to get the vaccine yet.

Just let your kid wear the mask and have fun with his friends! The reason the mother requested masks- she is immunocompromised and her doctor has not given her ok to get the vaccine yet.
What if the party was ice-skating and they wanted everyone to wear a helmet? Would that offend her also?

Statistically, the younger and healthier you are, the less likely you are to end up in the hospital. It's not a guarantee, but it's much less. My fear was never so much being hospitalized. It was more the long term effects of even mild cases. I have no interest in long term lung damage or a higher risk of heart disease.
As far as double masking, has that ever been proven to be beneficial? I don't know anyone who has ever double masked...I know they exist lol but just didn't think that was ever proven to work.
Side note...yesterday my twins went to a birthday party outside in a park. The parents of the birthday child requested everyone wear masks except when they were eating pizza and cupcakes. One mother went on a rant- at a 6 yr olds birthday party- and dragged her child out of the party while he cried hysterically saying he wanted to wear the mask and stay at the party. I don't get it. Just let your kid wear the mask and have fun with his friends! The reason the mother requested masks- she is immunocompromised and her doctor has not given her ok to get the vaccine yet.
Did the mom let everyone know ahead of time she wanted everyone to wear masks at the party? I’m guessing it was a small gathering as well. I can see how the other mom wasn’t wearing a mask when the party was outside, at a park.

To start, I would have made my 6 year old wear the mask. I can’t stand mask wearing outdoors but for the sake of my kids I’d have them wear it to attend a friends party.
But I can see both sides.
If I was in the bucket of having an underlying condition like this mom, no way would I have a party with a bunch of kids. Does Covid suddenly take a break when kids are eating pizza? Common sense is gone. I would have skipped the pizza or done something like mini golf with a couple kids who I know come from families that are cautious and no food.
By this time, we all know which of our kids friends are super cautious and which act like Covid is gone.

Yes, the mother sent a text out a few days before explaining that she has a heart condition and she kindly asked for masks on all children and adults. So I feel like if the mother was that opposed to having her son wear a mask outdoors she should have just told the mother at that point that they would not be attending the birthday party.
Littlediva, I do agree with you that perhaps the mother should not have thrown her son a birthday party if she has a health condition. I think she did because she felt so bad that last year everything was still in lockdown at this time and her son had no birthday, so she didn't want him to miss out two years in a row. I don't necessarily agree with her, but she made the choice to have the party and gave anyone uncomfortable with masks the opportunity to back out.
As for the pizza and cupcakes, kids were all spaced out when eating, more than 6 ft, eating with their parents. Again, not saying this makes any sense lol, just answering the question.

My favorite was news12 asking what incentive people need to get vaccinated. Uh, how about long term studies?
Cuomo saying we need to target those who doubt the vaccine. I don’t doubt the vaccine. It does what it says it should....keeps those who could be hospitalized out of the hospital. I won’t be hospitalized with Covid so I don’t want it.
Plus, Pfizer is on the horizon with a pill to treat Covid symptoms. Why make healthy young people get a vaccine when there is a medication around the corner.
Omg yes I saw that yesterday. I am starting to really dislike them and actually won’t watch as much as I used to.
It seems like it is the “thing” to do. You can put up your pics and videos and change your profile picture to say “I got my Covid-19 vaccine” SMH.
I just want to know why Erin Colton is still broadcasting from her living room? Why?
She got that anchor job and now gets to sit home in her house? Everyone else is back in the studio
Vaccines are available to all.

I haven't watched but I saw rich hoffman posted on his facebook that they are all back in the studio.
So now I truly feel the only person left on the planet still working from my bedroom.
Even these yahoos are back in the studio over a year later.
