Frustrated! (long vent)
I am so frustrated with TTC lately. DH and I can't seem to get together, there's always something going on.
I'm apparently having a long cycle this month b/c I've been testing with OPK's since CD12 and I haven't gotten a + yet (I'm on CD 20 today). My cycles have been all over the place since going off BCP (6 months). Before the pill I was like clockwork.
I feel like every month it's always something and as much as we try I feel like there's always something that comes up or messes up our plan on those crucial days.
UGH. It's so hard not being able to control this when it's something we want so, so badly.
thanks for letting me vent.

Re: Frustrated! (long vent)
How long have you been TTC?
I think it's completely normal to have these feelings.
I think there are sort of different phases that we go through as we are TTC.
First we start off hopeful and excited. When it doesn't work that first month we are surprised and sad. We try again the next two months still feeling pretty sure it will happen for us soon! Around months 4-6 we start to wonder if something's wrong. We might hit a brick wall... we might get frustrated with our DHs, we might feel like TTC and BD is a chore and isn't fun anymore. We might find some new things to add to the mix that lift our spirits again. Then we'll begin the cycle once more.
I think that everyone goes through these heartaches and heartbreaks. It's crazy to imagine wanting something so badly when it's just beyond your grasp.
We're all here if you need to vent!
After 12 months, I feel like I've felt these things so many times before so I can definitely relate. Feel free to FM me if you want to chat!

You've nailed it right on the head. This is our 5th month and I feel like I've hit a wall.
It doesn't help that I work with children. I take care of kids all day long, spend more time with some of them than the parents get to. Why can't I have my own?
I hate these pity party days. Right now I'm so tired of POAS and not seeing anything +.
I'm due for my annual in December so if we're not successful by them I'll see what the Doc thinks.
Thank you (as always) for your great advice and hugs.
