Frozen breast milk
I took 2 4oz bags of frozen breast milk out of the freezer last night at around 7:30pm. I put it in the back of my fridge. When should I use it by? I have read everything from 4-24 hours after thawing, but I am not sure what is accurate. I also have no idea how long it takes to thaw 4oz of milk in the fridge. DH and I are going out from 5-8 tonight so I want to make sure it will be good.

Re: Frozen breast milk
It will be fine for tonight! It takes a while to thaw in fridge! I usually take out 5-6 ounces day and after 12+ hours it still has chunks of ice. If it is still frozen just run it under water.

Re: Frozen breast milk
I usually take milk out 24 hours in advance to thaw completely in fridge. If for some reason it doesn't thaw then just run under warm water.
Then once it thaws I use it within a day. I have never had a problem! Good luck!
