Friends
Do you call everyone a friend or an aquaintance? I hear alot of people say oh thats my best friend or thats is my friend but yet they are not close ... I only call close people who I trust my friend how about you?

I definately know the difference and i have both. But i am talking about friendships....
i can deal with BS aquaintances not fake friends!

JT and I have a core group of really tight-knit friends. THOSE are our best friends whom we see three to four times a week to have dinner, or see a movie or putz around with. Then we have friends that we see a couple of times a month. But when it comes down to it, I would say I have 10 really good friends that I can call whenever and know they are going to be up for talking or having lunch, etc, then the rest are aquaintances.

I consider most people I know & like a friend.
Like most people, I have people in my life that I am much much closer to, more like family, that I know I can depend on vs. someone I am friends with in certain situations.

I have a big group of true best friends. We have all been together since Grade/High School and added a few along the way. Then I have a group of friends, who I do things with, but wouldn't necessarily confide my deepest darkest secrets in. Then there are acquaintances. I grew up in a small town, so everyone is a friend or acquaintance, with the exception of those few that still hold grudges from years ago

I always use the term friends but my real friends know they are special to me. I dont think I have ever really used the word aquantaince to describe someone.

Many acquaintences...not so many friends lately.
When I was younger we (DH & I) had TONS of friends. But I guess when you get older & re-prioritize, things change.

Me too. The closer friends I call my "inner circle" and there are maybe 5 or 6 of those.

I only call people I like friends, and that means a real friend. Anyone else I refer to as "that girl from" ..The guy I know from etc...
I dont use the term lightly..
I tell al ot of stories, Id had 678 friends if I did that.

I have a few close friends and that's all I care for really....I can trust them and even though we don't speak or see each other regularly, I know I can pick up the phone or write and pick up where-ever we left off!!
My best friend and I did not speak I think for about a good 6 months or more because I thought she was mad at me fordummping a guy she set me up with to go back to my abusive boyfriend.
turns out she didn't care....so 6 years later, we're still best friends

I used to have a large group of really ggod friends but that group has dwindled over the years... my sister always said I was a friend magnet. I always had a great group!!!
I only have a few close friends left.. the ones that were there for me after I signed myannullment papers.. i mean actually there. they came out to meet me for a drink...
I consider my best friends- and two of them include my sister and cousin..
