Are you going to have a baby shower?
Will you plan it, help plan it, or will it be a surprise?
Do you have a theme picked out?
Will it be before or after your LO arrives?
Will it be Jack & Jill or ladies only?


Once I get my BFP I'm going into baby shower/nursery planning mode. Ill probably do most of the planning myself and turn it over to my mom at the end. I dont like surprises. I plan to be very pregnant at my shower. In our families showers are like a big family party...everybody comes. If I decided to have a ladies only shower somebody would be pi$zed. I'm not a big theme person. I'll probably pick a few colors and that'll be the theme.

I'm really on the fence about a shower. I am a bit supersticious so I don't really want one. But I think my mom might override me on that decision So we'll see.

I will be having a shower. I will be helping my mom with the planning. I would love to a baby block theme. It will be before my LO arrives. It will be ladies only

I certainly hope I will be having one. DH & I already discussed the fact that I will be planning it. My bridal shower was a nightmare and I almost didnt have one. If MIL & my MOH want to help out than I will appreciate it but I dont expect anything.

My MIL has a habit of making everything about her so I am going to do my best to minimize her involvement but at the same time, I dont want to shut her out.
I dont have a mom so no worries on that end. My father's wife is the one who destroyed my bridal shower so I dont even want her there, but will prob have to invite her.

No idea on themes or locations yet. I'm really big on the small fun details so I hope to include lots of them. DH wants to be so I am going to have be creative. I've very big on eclectic themes. I am going to give DH the option if he wants to be there. If not, I am going to ask BIL to put together something for him so he gets to celebrate too.

I helped with my bridal shower so I will most likely help with this one as well

I'm pretty sure it will be ladies only.

Even though i'm only 4.5 minutes pregnant, I can't stop thinking about whether it's a boy or girl, and what the nursery is going to look like! I can't wait to decorate and buy things!

I don't think I want one anymore. I know I shouldn't let what happened ruin a future pregnancy but I just don't feel comfortable with having a shower anymore :(

I will probably still register and if anyone gives us gifts when the baby is born that is great but I'm not expecting anything from anyone. I know I've spent a lot on others for their showers and so have our Moms so I know my mother in-law will be ****** if we don't get gifts from the people we/she gifted. That's just how she is! I can see it already, she'll say, "What do you mean you aren't having a shower??!"

I know there is always the chance I may change my mind, in fact I'm hoping things work out great next time and I do but for now I think I rather not have one.

I saw on pregnancy that some girls were chatting about a party after the baby is born but how do you do that with a newborn? I wouldn't want to expose my newborn to all of those people/germs. I cringe thinking about 50+ plus people touching my baby! Ever! HaHa! Plus I'd imagine the first few months to be hectic no?

I am Dominican, so definitely Jack & Jill. For us baby showers are big ole parties
filled with music, tons of food and liquor.
