If you only had 2.5 days in France what would you do and see and where would you eat?

Where are you planning on going in France? Paris only? Or other parts?

That's a very vague question. Will you be in Paris? We have done Paris and south of France (Cannes. Eze, St. Paul de Vance, etc,)

Re: FRANCE
We went to Paris for our first wedding anniversary and it was amazing!
I definitely recommend doing the dinner cruise down the Seine river, it was one of our favorite things while we were in Paris. The food and wine were great and it was so romantic.
Dinner Cruise
We also did a wine tasting at O Chateau that was so much fun!

Going to the top of the Eiffel Tower is also a must!
Palace of Versaille was amazing but it's a bit of a trip from Paris.
I really enjoyed The Louvre.
As far as restaurants, we kind of just walked around and went into places that looked good. We did a lot of walking because the city is just so gorgeous!

Get your tickets early to museums and Eiffel Tower. Buy them online well before you leave.

Hi, did you go with a travel agent for your trip? I'm thinking about going to Europe and visiting: Paris, , Rome, Tuscany Florance. Thinking about going this summer.
are you traveling around?

Re: FRANCE
We enjoyed the Musee D'Orsay more than the Louvre, it was more low key.
Take the metro around the city and hop off at Sacre Coeur for an amazing view!
We did a bus tour to Monet's Gardens at Giverney and Versailles.

No - DH has a to go to London for business so we extended his trip and I am meeting up with him for a few days in Paris. Doing it all on our own - no travel agent.
Thanks everyone for the advice.

Re: FRANCE
Paris for sure. I love this little hotel we stay in that is on a pedestrian street in the 7th. It is right around the block from the Eiffel Tower. A lot of great restaurants in the area and it is close to the metro which is very easy to use.
Hotel
The hotel is small but I love small/quaint hotels. The Café Du Marche down the block is great for lunch and there is a bakery, chocolatier, cheese shop, butcher and wine shop so everything right there.
ETA - I would go to the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triumph and a if time allowed the Louve.

Re: FRANCE
I've been there a few times, and my best advice is to just walk! The city is beautiful. Stick your head inside one museum (d'orsay and Rodin are my favorites), do one or two churches on the ile de la cite (I love ste chapelle) but spend the rest of the time wandering in the Marais, st Germaine des pres, Montmartre. I also love the bateaumouche boat tours on the river! And eat pastries!
