Frameless Vs. Semi-Frameless Shower
Hello! I have been getting a few quotes for shower doors. I know that I want frameless but it is twice as much as semi-frameless.
I was also told by the shower door co. that a little water will get through the frameless shower and there is nothing you can do about it.
Does anyone have any issues with their frameless doors?
Thanks

Thanks! I know, it is so much nicer!
I am just nervous about a crazy low quote I got for frameless. $700 cheaper than all my other quotes!!! I am nervous that they will do a crappy job b/c they are too cheap, LOL.
Who did you use?

We have frameless and LOVE it!! We have a tiny bit of water leakage but really it's nbd and really just because how our shower head is positioned. I'm so glad we went frameless, it's SOOO pretty.

Make sure the person is giving you an apples to apples quote...I had two different quotes, the one who was much less was planning to use thinner glass and some sort of track to hold the glass in place instead of the $$ heavy duty mounting clamps. Once I had him quote it comparably they were both the same price.

Re: Frameless Vs. Semi-Frameless Shower
We have frameless and water def gets out.
It's by the hinge. We have a handheld that we use to rinse the glass with when we're done showering and it definitely leaks out.
It's a not big deal for us anyway b/c we dry the floor right away.
