I need something new and am clueless, I have been using bare minerals for so long and hate it lately. I don't have the best skin so I need a foundation that covers well but doesn't feel heavy and caked-on?

I love my MAC foundation. If you go to the MAC store they will show you how to apply it

I have to agree with the Revlon Color Stay. Believe it or not, I like it better than my MAC liquid foundation and I NEVER thought I'd say that! It is so light, lasts all day, and doesn't rub off on everything.

Re: Foundation

I know this sounds counterintuitive, but I find with bad skin (and trust me I have BADDD skin) less is actually more.
I switched to a BB Cream after years of using Bare Minerals and I couldn't be happier.
My skin actually looks better than it's ever looked.
Sometimes the heavier foundations and heavier coverage actaully just sink in and accentuate the lines, pores, acne scars, imperfections etc
I feel like the BB cream kind of blurs it all and gives me fresh skin
Sometimes I add a little Bare Minerals over it- for like a night out or something where I want a more "made up" look.
But I never thought it would be enough coverage for my bad skin and it totally is!

Which BB cream do you use? The garnier one has mixed reviews

I have tried them all from the Smashbox to the Loreal Youth Code to the SKIN 79 that EVERYONE on the planet raves about and the Garnier one is the ONLY one that works for me.
I hated all the others.

If you buy it at Ulta you can return it even after trying it... so no risk at all.

The coverage is very buildable, so you can definitely get good coverage. I tend to go with a medium hand and kabuki brush and get very smooth, even coverage. I also like the color match better for me (creamy natural), as well as the pressed aspect, so much cleaner!

MakeUp Forever HD
or
Look into skin79. It's a Korean line of BB creams and they are amazing. Coverage varies. Check them out on Amazon.

I've been wearing Lancome Renergie lift since before I need the lift. It just feels great on. I am a big fan of Lancome. They have one that matches my coloring perfectly, yet other foundations seem to be a bit "off."

I use Lancome Teint Idole for the same reason. The colors don't jsut get progressiviely darker, they have warm, cool & neutral sahdes for each level.

It's more of a full coverage, long wearing foundation though, which may not be for everyone.

I use Estee Lauder Double Matte. I've been using it for YEARS and YEARS. Every so often, i'll get bored and try something new for absolutely no reason at all other than that i'm just annoying. I always end up going back to it.

Re: Foundation

I like clinique foundation.

Esp because my skin tones on my cheeks run pink/reddish, it covers great.

I'm also very pale with rosy pink cheeks if that helps.
